The pre-coating treatment section involves the mechanical pre-treatment of shot blasting, power tool polishing and high-pressure water cleaning, chemical pre-treatment such as degreasing, pickling, neutralization, surface conditioning, phosphating, passivation, cleaning, as well as organic solvent treatment, and the process of removing the old paint of the workpiece. The process equipment involved in the pre-coating treatment section shall meet the requirements. Except for oversized workpieces, the spraying process of any kind of coating should be carried out in the spray painting (powder) chamber. The ventilation of the spray painting (powder) room should be organized air flow, and the ventilation volume must meet the requirements of explosion-proof safety and industrial hygiene at the same time. All kinds of spray painting appliances and spray equipment and auxiliary devices entering the spray painting (powder) room should meet the safety technical conditions used in the dangerous area of explosive gas environment.

The workshop specially set up for the painting operation or the space delimited with the possibility of burning should be classified as a slight danger area, but all open flames must be prohibited to prevent foreign flame from entering. The design of the painting project should meet the requirements of the relevant fire resistance grade and the explosion-proof and safe evacuation of the workshop. Building structure, components and materials should be selected according to fire prevention and explosion-proof requirements; The minimum width of the evacuation door should not be less than 0.8m, and should be opened in the evacuation direction; The clear width of the evacuation corridor should not be less than 1.4m; Evacuation facilities should be equipped with emergency lighting and safety evacuation signs. The painting site should be correctly partitioned to arrange the process route, starting from the design elements conducive to safety, health, fire protection, energy saving, environmental protection and so on, take the necessary partition and isolation facilities, and pay attention to the fire spacing and fire separation. The central air conditioning layout pipeline in the painting site should be equipped with a fire valve before entering the fire danger area.
Choose a spray gun with good performance. Constant current source output control should be set for both safe low voltage inlet gun and circuit feedback technology. When the gun electrode is close to the ground workpiece, the high voltage generator can reduce the output voltage accordingly, and can automatically cut off and turn off the power supply when the short circuit is with the ground. Select reasonable process parameters, as far as possible low pressure, low voltage electrostatic spraying, voltage output 30 ~ 70kV is appropriate.

The air volume of the dusting chamber must be adjusted according to the opening section to ensure that no powder escape occurs at the opening of the dusting chamber. At the same time, the total recovery air volume during the spraying process should ensure that the concentration of oversprayed powder is at its lower explosive limit. The recovery and purification device connected with the powder spraying chamber shall be provided with a rapid pressure relief port facing the outdoor space to prevent the occurrence of ignition and explosion accidents. The suction pipe with high wind speed in the dusting cabin should be installed with a mesh grid or magnetic separation device to prevent metal or hard objects from entering the pipe and causing friction and collision. The powder cleaning mechanism should be set up in the powder spraying cabin, and it is best to carry out continuous powder cleaning to keep no powder deposition in the cabin. The wind speed at the recovery air pipe, cross pipe, elbow, etc. for powder absorption must be large enough (≥15m/s) to ensure that there is no powder accumulation in the pipe, and to prevent the secondary explosion caused by the dust explosion in the spray space. A flame detector and a linked fire extinguishing device are used in the dusting chamber, and a blocking valve is provided on the connecting air pipe between the dusting chamber and the recovery unit.
